The original BrewCon by the National Homebrew Club is back on 5th October 2019 for the fifth time! Since our inaugural event in 2015, we have brought you; the fundamental ingredients of brewing, pushing the boundaries on what you can achieve in a glass of beer and broadening your brewing skills to achieve even more in improving your brewing ability.
For our 5th event, we’ve decided to do something different. This year we’re Raiding the Rascals.
Yes, that’s right, we’ll be taking over the Rascals Brewery for the day at Rascals’ HQ, hosting a more dynamic open plan event in a live & kicking brewery. Not only that but as usual, we have a fantastic line-up of speakers from these various backgrounds:
Remember to fill in your Mini Talk sessions & food request form that is attached to your ticket's e-mail receipt.
We need your feedback to schedule the session & to plan for food.
With the dynamic change to the format, you’ll have a choice of talks as part of the afternoon's breakout sessions.
Choose from a range of talks including; equipment setup, sensory analysis & judging beers and a look back at older styles & the history of beer. Your ticket gets you access to all the talks, food and drink at lunchtime and entry later to the Club Night, after the last talk where you will also have the opportunity to have one on one discussions with any of the speakers.
The BrewCon Goodie Bag will be back again stuffed with loads of goodies, along with the infamous limited edition BrewCon T-Shirt, which is available again to order when purchasing your ticket.
Rascals Brewing Co. was founded in 2014 by Emma Devlin and Cathal O’Donoghue. The pair were living and working in New Zealand where they developed a taste and passion for the booming Kiwi craft beer industry. In the spirit of adventure, they decided to change careers entirely and set up their own craft brewery back home in Dublin.
We are delighted to be hosted by Rascals Brewing Co. and are able to use their brewery, taproom, and pizzeria in Inchicore, Dublin for this year's BrewCon.
We are looking forward to some great beers, seriously good pizza, and a very warm from Rascals!
Club Night makes it’s return, with exclusive access for BrewCon attendees this year showcasing the best brews from clubs across the country. The winning beer from the NHC Club Cup held in June, will by brewed in conjunction with Rascals on their pilot kit and this will be served at this year's BrewCon 2019.
Alongside a selection of commercial craft beers, we will have local clubs from all over the island pouring corny kegs of their own brews. We will have some great beers pouring and we encourage lots of interclub mingling with a little bit of friendly rivalry too, as they show off their skills.
The National Homebrew Club is Ireland’s single biggest collective of homebrewers, with representation across the island.
